This Halloween, The Burned Over summons the infamous mystic, RASPUTIN, in a video that conjures the eerie grandeur of early 20th century Russia in a union of heavy metal and horror! A transformation of the 1978 disco classic into an apocalyptic hymn of doom, “Rasputin” features the unmistakable guest vocals of Aaron Stainthorpe (High Parasite, Ex-My Dying Bride)! The video was produced by the masterminds at HEY BEAUTIFUL JERK who have created content for Mastodon, High on Fire, and Ozzy!
Welcome to the "Shadowland", the latest single from The Burned Over, a band forging a new path in heavy music with their signature genre, Baphometal-a fusion of the heavy and the melodic, the sacred and the profane. Fronted by Kim "Vulvatron" Dylla (Ekktoplasm, Ex-GWAR vocalist) and driven by the sonic vision of Mark Dannells (GRAMMY-nominated, EMMY-winning producer/guitarist), The Burned Over channels the mysticism of Victorian occultism and the raw intensity of modern metal into something entirely new. The song "Shadowland" combines all of the elements above, and serves as a sonic harbinger for THE BURNED OVER's forthcoming full length release The Last Great Awakening set for release in the Fall of 2025.
